Administrative History	Opened in 1847 as a parish church serving Godley and part of Newton [nr. Hyde] (formerly in Mottram in Longdendale and Newton in Mottram parishes). The church closed in 2016 when its parish was joined with Hyde St. Thomas. For later records, see also Hattersley.
